The Gibbes Museum of Art presents "Japonisme in Charleston: Alice Smith and Her Circle," a companion exhibition to "Lasting Impressions: Japanese Prints from the Read-Simms Collection." Both exhibitions will take place April 30 – October 3, 2021.

This exhibition will be an introduction to the work of early 20th century South Carolina artist Alice Smith and her continuing artistic legacy in Southern art. It will coincide with the publication of Alice: Alice Ravenel Huger Smith, Charleston Renaissance Artist. Exhibition runs July 13 - December 5, 2021.
