Book Talk: Historic Charleston Foundation (Virtual)

March 30, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

$20

While acclaimed Charleston artist Alice Ravenel Huger Smith is best known for her beautiful watercolors of the Lowcountry, she also helped spark Charleston’s historic preservation movement. To celebrate Women’s History Month, join authors Dwight McInvaill, Caroline Palmer and Anne Tinker for a special presentation of their newly-released book Alice: Alice Ravenel Huger Smith, Charleston Renaissance Artist. This fascinating and personal story, told by the artist’s friends and family, will feature some of Alice’s photos and artwork, many of which are from private collections. This is an event in the Food for Thought Lecture Series.
